Freddie's Gym is located in Lorain, OH and is run by head trainer/coach Freddie Barreiro. Freddie has been training boxers for 35 years in Lorain. He was introduced to boxing at a young age growing up in Puerto Rico. Freddie would later move to Lorain, Ohio and continue boxing. He quickly amassed a 26-0 amateur record but his responsibilities outside the ring ended his amateur career. Determined to share his boxing knowledge and help kids stay out of trouble he opened his own gym in Lorain.

"This is a place that kids can train and stay out of trouble. My main focus is doing good for the kids and the community. It bothers me when I see kids in detention homes when they can be here instead of running the streets. We're open Monday through Friday 5-7 pm and any kids willing to apply themselves are welcome."
- Freddie Barreiro Freddie is a pillar in the boxing community for Northeast Ohio where he travels all over to take his kids to the next show or tournament. He is easily recognized from his instant warmth and generosity towards others. Freddie has also trained notable professional boxers Ricky Quilles and Wilkins Santiago.
